WOMEN CELL

The Women Cell of PDUAM, Dalgaon was established in the year 2017 with the objective of increasing participation of women faculties in designing and implementing the policies at the institute. It was also formed to accelerate the process of cooperation and involvement with the local society to solve their various problems. The Women Cell has actively organized different programmes since its formation and also celebrates International Women’s Day every year. The Cell has both the faculty and students of the college as its members and works with an aim to create a gender sensitized community within the campus as well as in the society.

The main objectives of the Women Cell are as follows:

  1. The main objective of the Cell is to help build an egalitarian society.
  2. To help female students to realise their full potential
  3. To stress upon the development of women in every sphere
  4. To organize events and activities for women empowerment

The following activities have been carried out by Women Cell, PDUAM, Dalgaon are:

  1. An awareness programme was held among the local women in Ruhinikash Village on the topic, “Women Health & Hygiene”.
  2. An awareness programme was conducted among the girl students of PDUAM, Dalgaon on the importance of women’s Menstraul Health & Hygiene.
  3. A Flood Relief-cum-post Flood Sanitation Programme was held among the people of Aulachowka.
  4. A medical Health Camp and Anemia Detection Camp was organised among the local women of Ruhinikash village in collaboration with the Civil Hospital Mangaldai.
  5. An awareness programme was held on “The Role of Physical Fitness and Balanced Diet on Women’s Health” among the girl students of PDUAM, Dalgaon.
  6. An awareness programme was held on “Menstrual Health & Adolescent Health” in collaboration with IQAC under the aegis of Kharupetia BPHC.
  7. International Women’s Day is organised every year with different programmes.
