The Eco Club of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Dalgaon was established in the year 2018 under Assam Science Technology & Environment Council (ASTEC) supported by Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC). The programs and various Eco Club activities are conducted under the project “National Green Crop Programme” supported by MoEFCC and a fixed amount of Rs. 5000/- is sanctioned as a one-time grant in a year for conducting different activities.
The main objectives of the Eco-Club are as follows:
- To enhance student participation in plantation and conservation of the environment.
- To create awareness and promote eco-friendly practices among the students to Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
- To create environmental awareness and spreading a message of adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle and to sensitize the society.
- To provide environmental education and sustainable development in the society.
