The Department of Botany was established in the year 2017 along with the establishment of PDUAM, Dalgaon with a mission of discovering and disseminating knowledge to younger generation in the various fields of Botany through teaching and learning process. At present the department offers active program leading to undergraduate and graduate courses. The department is committed to provide quality education and hands on training to its students both in the laboratory and fields. A unique feature of the department is the faculty members which are specialized in almost all areas of plant science. The department in future aims to start research program to promote interdisciplinary courses and researches in collaboration with other departments such as Physics, Zoology, Chemistry, Computer Science etc.
