Department of Chemistry, in association with IIC and IQAC, PDUAM Dalgaon, organized a two-day workshop on “Research Methodology” dated 10th & 11th March 2024. The workshop comprised six sessions, each focusing on different aspects of scientific research.
The sessions were structured as follows:
Literature Survey – Print: Dr. Rajarshi Bayan, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Arya Vidyapeeth College, served as the resource person for this session. He delivered a comprehensive talk on conducting literature surveys using print resources.
Literature Survey – Digital: Dr. Subhasish Roy, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Sciences, Assam Don Bosco University, led this session, guiding participants on how to conduct effective literature surveys using digital platforms.
Methods of Scientific Research and Writing Scientific Papers: Dr. Kusum K Bania, Professor, Department of Chemical Sciences, Tezpur University, shared valuable insights into scientific research methodologies and the process of writing scholarly papers.
Chemical Safety and Ethical Handling of Chemicals: Dr. Nand K Gour, Guest Faculty, Department of Chemical Sciences, Tezpur University, delivered a session emphasizing the importance of chemical safety protocols and ethical practices in handling chemicals.
Electronics and Data Analysis: Dr. Bipul Deka, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Pub Kamrup College, enlightened participants on basics of electronics.
Data Analysis: Dr. Zaved I Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, PDUAM Dalgaon provided guidance on data analysis techniques, including a hands-on training session.
A total of 50+ participants attended the workshop, from various colleges across Assam, including Gauhati University, Arya Vidyapeeth College, Royal Global University, LOKD College, and Mangaldai College.
