The freshmen social of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyala, Dalgaon was held on 18th nov, 2023 organized by Student Council, PDUAM, Dalgaon. This fresher students of Science stream and the newly opened Humanities of the college were formally welcomed on this day. The agenda of the day-long event was started with the unfurling of the college flag by honourable Principal Dr. Lakhi Prasad Hazarika. The cheif guest of the formal meeting was Dr. Jyotikamal Hazarika, the Principal of Tezpur College, and Dr. Sachindra Saharia, the President of PDUAM, Dalgaon, graced the event with their intelligible and encouraging speech. Mr. Rukmo Gohain Boruah, chairman of Assam1 Higher Secondary Council released the annual magazine of the college ‘Bikhyan’ and delivered a thought-provoking speech. An open interaction between the freshers and sophomore students was also organized on the occasion. Rasel Amin from the Physics Department and Amrina Begum from the Chemistry Department were selected as Mr. and Miss Freshers respectively. Mahabul Islam student of 5th sem, Mathematics Dept. was awarded the Best Library User for the session 2022-2023. The event was attracted by the vibrant cultural programme performed by the students of the college. In the afternoon, the programme was entertained by vocalists Sumon Raj and Dimpi Das with their lively performance added colors in the cultural programme.
